DISADVANTAGE AND ADVANTAGE OF PROTEIN SHAKE
When I had breakfast today, I saw my brother drinking a shake. So I said who made it? Then he just laugh and said, Oh you could make one from that container.” When I look at it, I read Protein diet shake. So I just said “woooaaahhh, no thanks bro, I will stick with coffee.”
So what does protein diet shake do? Basically it helps the development of muscles in the body. They are take protein shake basically as alternative to eating high protein foods because foods with high protein usually have high fats also. By drinking protein shake, it easily fills your stomach making you feel full and forces you to eat less. So aside from muscle development, protein diet shakes also helps in weight loss.
Although there are no really direct effect of overdose protein in the body but anything that is over the maximum is bad. There have been experiences of constipation, dehydration, ketosis, osteoporosis and even complications in the liver and kidney.
As a note from nutritionist, it is recommended that a 45 to 56 grams of protein should be intake daily for adults.
