PIANO STAIR TO GET PEOPLE OFF THE ESCALATOR

The folks at Volkswagen turn a set of stairs into a piano which turns out makes people walk up stairs instead of the taking the escalator. The commercial is titled where the world is your symphony, the stairs are your piano, and you’re the composer.  Neat idea.

I saw this over facebook and personally thinks its a genius idea but would it be still  effective in the long run?   Would people not get tired of hearing same notes over and over?  I think this idea is only ideal on the initial start but if a person is using it everyday going to work and going back to house then that would be a different story, and he would get tired of using it because he is accustomed to it already.   But the general idea is great.   Having it be as creative and new stuffs added on this idea would get people use it in the long run.

Using the stairs instead of an elevator or an escalator could bring many positive effects not only personally but sociologically.  Personally constant use of the stairs instead of those mechanical transportation to get us from one point to another point would burn your some extra calories but would also strengthen your cardio-vascular system.  By using the stairs we could save a lot of energy.   According to CreativeCitizen, “Per floor (one direction, 3 meters): 2.5 Wh. That is approximately 1/2 the amount of energy it takes to recharge a cellphone battery.”  When you think about it, it is only for one person but if you sum all the people in the world, that would be huge amount of energy.

Furthermore, just think of the energy and electricity for that matter that we would save a lot of electricity and energy if we limit or even stop the usage of elevators and escalators.

SIDE THOUGHTS

  • Overcoming fights starts with forgiveness. All of us have faults and all of us hurt others sometimes. This is human, and holding grudges only hurts the one who holds it.

  • Jesus apparition on a frying pan.  Recently, Toby Elles from Lancaster, England and a 22-year-old brilliantly left the stove on after he was done cooking and after he took a quick boozey-snoozey, he realized his error and rushed to the stove.  Lo and behold, there was Jesus Christ, looking back at him with burnt eye of grease from the frying pan.

  • Love isn’t a fairytale, it isn’t perfect, and it doesn’t always come easy. But it is something that we should hold on to for the rest of our lives, because it’s the only thing that’s worth fighting for.

  • Hero: someone we admire. Someone we look up to. Someone who gives us hope. Not a myth, or an icon, or a legend- someone solid, genuine and real. An ordinary person who does extraordinary things. A hero picks us up when we are down. Believes in us before we believe in ourselves. Inspires us to expand and embrace what’s possible. Helps us realize that we can be heroes, too - Kobi Yamada

  • Devil’s Pool - a small lagoon, enclosed by rocks, on the edge of one of the biggest, most beautiful waterfalls in the world, Victoria Falls. Set on Livingstone Island, at a height of 103 meters, Devil’s Pool is definitely one of the most surreal locations on Earth
