REGISTER FOR THE 2010 PHILIPPINE ELECTIONS

Thanks to pinoytumblr for the image above.  Well I know that the governement has extended the registration of voters up to the end of October 2009 for the chance to vote for the 2010 Philippine elections.  If you have not yet registered, please register now.  It is your right to vote and for a chance for a new nation your vote is needed.  Below is a guide to the registration of voters.

All citizens of the Philippines not otherwise disqualified by law who are at least eighteen (18) years of age, and who shall have resided in the Philippines for at least one (1) year, and in the place wherein they propose to vote, for at least six (6) months immediately preceding the election, may register as a voter.

IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS:

  1. Postal ID;
  2. Employee’s identification card (ID) with the signature of the employer or authorized representative;
  3. Student’s ID or library card, signed by the school authority;
  4. Senior Citizen’s ID;
  5. Driver’s license;
  6. NBI/PNP clearance;
  7. Passport;
  8. SSS/GSIS ID;
  9. Integrated Bar of the Philippine (IBP) ID;
  10. License issued by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC); and
  11. Any other valid ID.

Registration of Voters

A qualified voter shall be registered in the permanent list of voters in a precinct of the city or municipality wherein he resides to be able to vote in any election.

To register as a voter, he shall personally accomplish an application form for registration as prescribed by the Commission in three (3) copies before the Election Officer on any date during office hours after having acquired the qualifications of a voter.
