Posted by: baterya In: MUSIC

I do not listen that much to radio and watch television that much.  I usually learn news like this through facebook, tumblr, and other blogs.  I am not that much updated to the local Pinoy Rock scene and from the list below only few I know and those I knew I only listen to Bamboo, Francis M, and Sugarfree.

I miss the days when the NU Rock Awards is still new not that my favored bands are listed but because most of the talents are there.. the guys who bring back rock n roll to life here in the Philippines.  Underground bands who only wants to share their talents whether no prize or money involve.  I guess knowing this 2009 NU Rock Awards winners through Tumblr which  is a calling (what?… LOL) for me to hear this new generation of great Pinoy Rock Bands and maybe, just maybe my love for music would return.

SIDE THOUGHTS

  • “A polka-dot has the form of the sun, which is a symbol of the energy of the whole world and our living life, and also the form of the moon, which is calm. Round, soft, colourful, senseless and unknowing. Polka-dots can’t stay alone; like the communicative life of people, two or three polka-dots become movement… Polka-dots are a way to infinity.” ~ Yayoi Kusama

  • Mobile Phone runs on Coke -  Designer Daizi Zheng has designed an eco friendly phone for Nokia, which runs on Coca-Cola drinks. Yes, its fuel cells generates electricity from carbohydrates (sugar) in the Coke and it can run on any sugary water, not just Coke.

  • Our tumble dryer at home was not working since last week and we have to dry our clothes manually, meaning letting it dry under the sun but what if it is not a sunny day? It takes time without using a dryer, so I think we need to find a replacement soon and I think we need to find the Cheapest Tumble Dryer because we are on a tight budget.

  • Light Touch - Light Touch($TBA) is an interactive projector that instantly transforms any flat surface into a touch screen. • Paris Gets the World’s Largest Disco Ball - “Finally, the City of Light lives up to its name, thanks to artist Michel de Broin’s 7.5-meter disco ball suspended 50-meters above the Jardin du Luxembourg. It’s even more impressive in action and up close.”
