Angst, sometimes called dread, anxiety or even anguish is a term that is common to many existentialist thinkers. It is generally held to be the experience of our freedom and responsibility. The archetypal example is the experience one has when standing on a cliff where one not only fears falling off it, but also dreads the possibility of throwing oneself off. In this experience that “nothing is holding me back”, one senses the lack of anything that predetermines you to either throw yourself off or to stand still, and one experiences one’s own freedom. – Existentialism, Angst
“Who needs another history of the modern movement? Coloquhoun, emeritus professor of architecture at Princeton, shows us why in this wonderfully succinct, readable, and opinionated account of movements and formgivers, from European art nouveau to the post-war decades in America. Each of the chapters focuses on a theme or a region, ranging from the artistry of Loos to the social engineering of Scandanavia. Though most of the examples are familiar, the author gives them a fresh spin–starting with the cover illustration of Hans Scharoun’s Schminke house of 1933, now restored and used as a day care center. It embodies the daring and idealism that powered the modern movement and is now being rediscovered.”–L.A. Architect

Dave Matthews Band is one of my favorite bands. When I first heard their Don’t Drink the Water single on radio and television, I just fell in love with this band at that very moment that I bought all of their albums. This song Ants Marching, is a song I usually played on my playlist over and over but I do not get tired of listening to it. Below is its lyrics. Enjoy listening and Happy Music Monday.
If I were an inanimate object, I would be paint. Paint have different colors in different textures and shine and yet it could be easily applied into any surface and bring out the purpose into applying it just like me who could be put anywhere and any situation and easily blends and adapts to it so that I could bring out the purpose why was I put in there. Moreover, paint could make an unexciting surface more appealing and attractive just like me who can turn any dull situation into something more lively and enjoyable. Paint on the other hand due to time and different weather could lose its shine and fades its color but could be easily restore by repainting over it and bring back its beauty. Just like me who is a normal person and can be easily be thrown with problems and circumstances that could affect my whole personality but could easily overcome it and start anew.
Love isn’t a fairytale, it isn’t perfect, and it doesn’t always come easy. But it is something that we should hold on to for the rest of our lives, because it’s the only thing that’s worth fighting for.
Hero: someone we admire. Someone we look up to. Someone who gives us hope. Not a myth, or an icon, or a legend- someone solid, genuine and real. An ordinary person who does extraordinary things. A hero picks us up when we are down. Believes in us before we believe in ourselves. Inspires us to expand and embrace what’s possible. Helps us realize that we can be heroes, too - Kobi Yamada

I don’t believe in fate or destiny. I believe in various degrees of hatred, paranoia, and abandonment. However much of that gets heaped upon you doesn’t matter - it’s only a matter of how much you can take and what it does to you — Henry Rollins
