I just got home from casting my vote for the Philippine National and Local Election 2010.  I casted my vote for the guy on the video for President and of Binay for Vice – President.  I was having a hard time choosing between Gordon and Villar and Binay over Bayani but you have no choice but to vote only one of them.  I just asked myself this question; “Who do you think can make an impact more and help the nation to rise?”  So, for me I think Gordon and Binay could.  The most important thing is that I voted for the ones I like and that is worth the vote whether they win or not.

The PCOS machine looks like a garbage can.  Yup that is my first impression on it.  I said to myself, its like our votes are being put on the trash bin.  We are hearing a lot of problems occurring in different areas and negatives comments on the automated process regarding the elections like its more slower, it will not count accurately, not all could vote in time, many killings already and many other things.  I know not all precincts are experiencing this kind of problems and I for myself have to trust on the new system and make way for technology to push and maybe this could be the start for the better Philippines.

I found this in my email once again and I just cannot stop laughing because I once work for a firm which is run by Japanese guys.  So in someway, I could relate to the following situations.  I have nothing against them and I think they are really the most disciplined persons when it comes to work.  Well below is the whole article in my email.

I have a friend who is also a Techie person that has Japanese as clients.  He is task to build this java web base apps.  Of course transactional web based apps always have usernames and passwords.

One day while he is sitting on his server, monitoring all transactions, one of the Japanese approached him: “hey what is the username/password?” H e just answered back “username is term00 and password is password”.  So the japanese left him and goes back to his terminal to try the username/password.

My friend cannot stop laughing at his place because he can see in his database that the japanese is using passrord instead of password .  So the Japanese comes back again and asked why he cannot log in.  So my friend told the Japanese “because you are entering passrord instead of password.  Replace the r with w, the letter w” .  So the japanese left and goes back again to his terminal.

This time my friend is really in tears of laughter at his chair because this time the japanese is entering the word passwod as password.  The Japanese totally remove the letter w.  So my friend just accompanies the Japanese at his terminal to login to solve all password problems.

This is the official video for The Black Keys “Your Touch” which was directed by Peter Zavadil/Tailight TV.   The Black Keys are an American blues-rock music duo consisting of vocalist/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer/producer Patrick Carney.   They were formed in Akron, Ohio in 2001.  This band was introduced to me by a very good friend who happens to be the designer of Baterya.com’s new logo.  Well at first I was not pleased on listening to them but as I listen to them more you will like and eventually be hooked.  They have a good way of creating relaxing and upbeat song at the same time not to mention that their songs are are from a guitar and a drum.  If you listen to it, as if you are listening to a complete band with a bass.  Anyway, this band have been doing great song for almost a decade now and they have been featured to soundtracks of movies, commercials and video games.  They have also   This song was a soundtrack for the movie Zombieland last year.

Oh by the way, for Pacquiao Fans out there, the song  ”I Got Mine” by the Black Keys has been used in HBO’s sports reality series 24/7 Pacquiao-Hatton.  Just FYI. Happy music monday.  Woot!

Do you want to sing into your sets of music when you listen to them on your Windows Media Player but do not know their lyrics?  Well there is an automatic way of displaying it using the Lyric Plugin for Windows Media Player. Just download the plugin and run installation program.  When the installation is finish, you just run your Windows Media Player and put it in the Now Playing Mode.   What you will see is similar to the image on the left.  The lyrics is automatically loaded as if you inputed its lyrics in it.

What is good in this plugin is that I tried to play an OPM song and I selected the song “Sayang” by Stonefree and again it was automatically loaded.  When You wanted to put the original visualization in the Now Playing Mode just turn the plugin off in the Tools section.

I would like to present to you Baterya’s new logo.  It was designed and made by a very good friend.  He just did it because he’s bored and do not know what else to do (LOL).  He presented this to me in two different colors : one is this one, orange and the other is black.   I prefer to use the color orange.  I was looking for a great logo for baterya.  I made several but I was not contented with what I created but when my friend showed this to me I must agree and feel you too would, that this a great logo for Baterya.com.

That is the power of design, it so unpredictable, that anyone can have different outlook to an object, thing or an idea.  Well, I have been also reading articles about branding yourself in order for you to be recognize more and having a catchy logo is one of the first steps to consider.  I have been running this blog for  2 years now and it is only now that I was satisfied with this blog’s logo.  Do you agree?

It has been a long dream of mine to create a shirt showing baterya on it and maybe share it to some friends.  I think with this logo I could now make decisions about it.  Furthermore, I am now planning on creating a business card for this blog and have it send to a business cards printing company.  The card would include the services I would be offering like Architectural Services and other design services like graphics and stuff.  This is just an idea for now, I will be still think and analyze it further.  Any suggestions?
