SOME COMPUTER STUFF TIPS 2

I think, I will do this more frequently to gather some computer essentials that we all can use to enjoy our computing hours. Try to visit the previous some computer stuff tips. Below are today’s computer tips:

SHOW AND HIDE ALL PROGRAMS IN WINDOWS – Here is another useful windows utility called Unhider. It is a small utility to hide or show any window on your desktop. Sometimes after crashing Windows Explorer we cannot get access to our programs that was minimized to system tray.

This utility can help you to find and unhide any hidden window. wherein you could do the following:

1. unhide any window minimized to tray which icon is absent after crashing of Windows Explorer process
2. hide any window that cannot be hidden to system tray via standard methods
3. view all windows that hiding from you
4. hide your favorite game from your boss, just don’t forget to pause it.

Installation is by extracting application from zip archive and run. It is free and compatible with Windows 9x/2000/XP/Vista.

HOW TO DO NOT TO ALL WHEN COPYING FILES - Have you find yourself getting irritated by pressing no all the time when you copy a file to another folder and there is a file conflict because windows only gives you an option of yes, yes to all, no and cancel button on the confirm file replace dialog box. How much you feel that there must be a no to all but you cannot find it.  If there is so many file conflict, I just hit the yes to all button and just wait to finish the copying or moving of files. But the process could have been easier and faster if there is a no to all button.

This problem have been fixed in Windows Vista but if you are still working on WIndows XP, there is still a stealthy way to tell Windows not to overwrite all the files with name conflicts and thereby skip them over. You can create this “No to All” functionality by simply pressing and holding the SHIFT key when you click the No button in the Confirm File Replace dialog box.

PANDORA RECOVERY : DELETED FILES - Sometimes there are instances that we accidentally deleted a file and we forgot to make a duplicate copy of it. There is still a chance that you still might get that file even if it is already deleted. One of these chances is by using Pandora Recovery.

Pandora Recovery isn’t the onlyfree file recovery utility actually there are lots of them over the internet, you just have to find them. What is good about this program is that it has an extraordinarily easy to use interface. When you launch Pandora Recovery, you’ll be greeted with a helpful wizard that asks if you want to browse your hard drives, search for files or file types, or perform a deep scan of your drive for files.

There’s also a portable version of the application which can be run from a removable flash drive. But Pandora Mobile Recovery isn’t free. It’s part of the Pandora PowerPack, which costs $20.

FILE ALERT MONITOR – Here is a great utility program called File Alert Monitor wherein it will generate alerts about the creation, update or deletion of files in specified folders. File Alert Monitor will monitor specified directories on a local or networked PC and will display a pop-up Window or optionally play an audio alert, whenever action is taken on files in the specified folders. This is great tool if you have multiple computers having a common folder to share and you want to know if you got an updated file in it.Options within File Alert Monitor allow the user to specify which events (creation, update and / or deletion) are to be monitored. Additionally, users may specify which file types are to be monitored, by specification of the appropriate file suffix(s). And another thing is that, File Alert Monitor can also keep a log of all the files that are created, modified, or deleted for tracking purposes.

SIDE THOUGHTS

  • Overcoming fights starts with forgiveness. All of us have faults and all of us hurt others sometimes. This is human, and holding grudges only hurts the one who holds it.

  • Jesus apparition on a frying pan.  Recently, Toby Elles from Lancaster, England and a 22-year-old brilliantly left the stove on after he was done cooking and after he took a quick boozey-snoozey, he realized his error and rushed to the stove.  Lo and behold, there was Jesus Christ, looking back at him with burnt eye of grease from the frying pan.

  • Love isn’t a fairytale, it isn’t perfect, and it doesn’t always come easy. But it is something that we should hold on to for the rest of our lives, because it’s the only thing that’s worth fighting for.

  • Hero: someone we admire. Someone we look up to. Someone who gives us hope. Not a myth, or an icon, or a legend- someone solid, genuine and real. An ordinary person who does extraordinary things. A hero picks us up when we are down. Believes in us before we believe in ourselves. Inspires us to expand and embrace what’s possible. Helps us realize that we can be heroes, too - Kobi Yamada

  • Devil’s Pool - a small lagoon, enclosed by rocks, on the edge of one of the biggest, most beautiful waterfalls in the world, Victoria Falls. Set on Livingstone Island, at a height of 103 meters, Devil’s Pool is definitely one of the most surreal locations on Earth
