CHECK NFL THROUGH WAIVER WIRE
filed in WEBSITES on Aug.25, 2009
It is NFL Season once again and you will see a lot of NFL stuff in the television, radio and the internet and of course there is the ever wonderful and exciting fantasy sports. Well, NFL stands for the National Football League. It is the largest and longest enduring professional football league in the United States. It is made up of 32 teams in two conferences. These two conferences are American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC) and in each conference has four divisions that have 4 teams each. At the end of each regular season, six teams from each conference play in the NFL playoffs, and the winner from each conference will play the championship game, known as the Super Bowl.
I really do not watch NFL that much but I watch once in a while especially when my favorite players are on the game. Here are three of my favorite players:
1. Thomas Edward “Tom” Brady, Jr. is as a quarterback for the New England Patriots. He has played in four Super Bowls and winning three of them. He has also won two Super Bowl MVP awards and holds the NFL record for most touchdown passes in a single regular season. He also owns the fourth-highest career passer rating of all time. Brady was named as Sports Illustrated’s Sportsman of the Year, in 2005. He has received many awards throughout his career and those mentioned above are his major ones. Sadly, he did not played last year because of a knee injury but this year Patriots owner Robert Kraft said that Brady will play already. Hope his knee would not get into him so he could play all season.
2. Randall Gene Moss – is an American football wide receiver for the New England Patriots. Moss holds the NFL single season touchdown reception record, and the NFL single-season TD reception record for a rookie.
3. DeMarcus Ware – is an American football linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys. Ware is considered the top 3-4 outside linebacker by Sporting News and has been described as “the most dynamic defender in the league right now.
Hope all of them play well this season so that it will be an exciting season for NFL. If you want to check out all the players, you could go to WaiverWire.
